Bracey Byrd, a North Carolina woman, has been arrested for kidnapping and castrating her stepson. Charges include attempted murder, felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury, malicious castration, first-degree kidnapping, and three counts of felony child abuse with physical injury. She has a 2 million dollar secured bond. She was arrested on Friday, September 30. Authorities received a tip on a possible child abuse case the day before. The Wilson Medical Center Emergency Department reported that a boy was brought in with third-degree burns. They determined the boy’s wounds weren't self-inflicted, and that he had other weird injuries. He was taken to the burn center for treatment. Police said the additional injuries included bruising to his face, arms, head, upper and lower legs, back, and genital area.
