When Families Reach Out

Several times per month I get email requests for help for inmates. Someones mom, sister, brother, cousin - whatever. I try to dedicate most resources to the women on death row but do what I can for anyone in need.

Everything I do here comes out of my own pocket. I have no fund or benevolent benefactor to help me in these endeavors. I depend on you guys. My readers. I get a pittance each month for Google ads which goes straight to inmates, as well as the revenue from my articles and books. I also get about $50 a year in donations from the little box in the left sidebar.

The money I receive does not come anywhere near enough to cover what families and friends ask me to do for their inmates. Therefore, I thought I would list the most recent requests here in the hopes that someone out there will donate a few bucks for a book of stamps or a paperback. It really is less than a cup of Starbucks.

Hello,
My niece has been in prison since 2007.  Her live in boyfriend beat up her baby daughter (13 month old) while she was at work.  Proven she was at work and didn’t ever hurt her child.  But she was sentenced to 20 years because she “had a knowing” that her bf could hurt her child because she was a victim of domestic violence.  She knew he was violent so she was sentenced.  She was 19 yrs old when her 18 year old live in boyfriend hurt her child.  The child is a perfectly healthy thriving young lady now with now physical issues from when the boyfriend shook her and hit her.  The boyfriend (Chris Good) shot and killed himself instead of going to jail.  Now Elizabeth has been sitting in jail for 10 years on a 20 year sentence.  She could really use your help and expertise if you would please.  We are a tiny family and we are not in Oklahoma to visit her.
It would be so appreciated if you could help her.  Thank you so much.  -Linda

Darlie Routier Texas

I was contacted by a penpal of Darlie Routier's who gave me some of the most recent advances in her case to share with you all. I began writing to Darlie in December of 2005 and she is one woman whom I will never understand how she got behind bars. Really. You know what else? With all the information ALREADY out there about this case, in addition to the newly discovered info, I think if you can't see this poor woman's innocence, you may just be an asshole. So many legal flubs, so much question and police innuendo that turned out to be nothing. So many fingers pointed and road blocks thrown up, I am surprised this case isn't used in other countries to point to the clusterfuck we call a justice system.  I believe Darlie could have been released ages ago if the state had done the necessary DNA testing. Sadly, Texas has tried to stop it in every unconstitutional way they could pull out of a bull's ass. BUT- there is hope on the horizon. This from Camp Darlie ...

The Most Beautiful Girls to Ever Kill Their Own Mother

As human beings, we have trouble fathoming the idea of a young girl committing so atrocious a crime as murder. Much less, the murder of her own mother. The concept becomes even more inconceivable when it pertains to a beautiful young woman beautiful young woman with a loving family and the world at her fingertips. These girls aren't all women in prison now. Some have been released and disappeared into the mainstream. Scary, huh?  Nakisha Waddell     At age 14, Nakisha Waddell stabbed her mother, Vaughne Thomas, 43 times in their Virginia home. In court, she said she was tired of the years of fighting and just exploded. Her 15-year-old friend, Annie Belcher, helped her dig a grave in the backyard. The pair poured alcohol and nail polish remover on the dead woman and tried to ignite her to no avail.  They eventually mixed a crude concrete mixture and poured it on top of her and finished by covering her with sticks, leaves, and yard debris. She gives n...

Heather Birden Connecticut

Holly Aeschlimann Holly Aeschlimann, 19 was murdered in Connecticut in April of 2015. This case is amazingly close to that of Rachel Wade. Holly and her killer, Heather Birden, 20, had a longstanding dislike for each other. Heather had stabbed another girl, a juvenile, once before in 2014. She was  held in Niantic Correctional Facility for next three months before the murder as a result of a violation of her probation, and was then released to an in-patient substance abuse rehabilitation facility. Reports state that Birden asked her boyfriend for his knife and then left his house to find Holly stating "I have to end this tonight." Witnesses say Heather arrived and the two began to fight, ending in Holly being stabbed in the head and neck at a crosswalk outside an apartment complex in Torrington, CT.  Her friends rushed her to the hospital where she died.  Heather was hiding under a vehicle a short distance away and feigned confusion when police found her. She spen...
