UPDATED: Bedford County woman sentenced in death of much-older boyfriend I am so confused. I really am. The story of recently sentenced Kristina Pongracz is so very confusing to me for the future, past and present of the death penalty.      Kristina is the Virginia woman who beat and partially skinned her long-time, much older boyfriend. She admittedly is a bi-polar, alcoholic who just lost it.   She 29, he 77- met while she worked at Victoria's Secret. She left when he offered her a job as his personal assistant way back when she was 19. She eventually lived in his mansion with him for a decade. When he tried to end the relationship and throw her out she became enraged and beat him with his own cane.      They charged her with 2nd degree murder. She was sentenced to 15 years. She will serve 13 because shes already been in jail for 2 years.  I am at a loss as to how she is charged with only 2nd degree murder when she admitted to the crime. She said she did it. She off
Thrill Killer Alyssa Bustamante Could Get Parole One Day - ABC News Alyssa Bustamante, the 15 year old MO murderess, is now 18 and has been given a life sentence. Prosecution was able to prove that the murder of 9 year old Elizabeth Olten was a thrill killing based on Alyssa's own journal entries where she described the killing and called the murder and called it "ahmazing" and "pretty enjoyable". The defense gave evidence of Alyssa's brutally lacking childhood and the violence she endured since birth. If they took it into consideration there was no evidence.

Arkansas Executed Women- Lavinia Burnett

Lavinia Burnett was the first woman executed by the state of Arkansas in 1845. She was accused and convicted of the murder of a neighbor who was known to have large sums of cash in his home. Like most women on death row ever since, Lavina did not murder Johnathon Sibley. Her son John and her nephew were the killers but Lavinia and her husband Crawford knew about and went to participate. Lavinia’s daughter told authorities of the plan the rest of her family was involved in. Her mother and father were arrested immediately but brother John stayed on the lamb for a while. Lavinia and John were hung from the gallows where the National Cemetery is now in Fayetteville, Arkansas. John was soon caught and followed his parents to the gallows. Lavinia, in 1845, was the only woman Arkansas killed until 2000 when they executed Christina Riggs.

Readers recommend books to me all the time. Lately the buzz among my readers has been a Kindle Single called Conjugal Visits. It is the story of a woman who falls for an inmate and begins visiting him. I noticed how this tale has been hitting heart strings of many of the inmate wives and girlfriends I know from Prisontalk  so I contacted the writer, Ms. Terry Towers who graciously agreed to give me an interview about Conugal Visits, it's impact on inmate wives and whats in store for the sequel. Terry Towers How long have you been writing erotic romance?  I started writing erotic romance a couple of years ago. I started off ghostwriting for a couple of erotica companies as a freelance writer. Basically, they would send me a scenario and I would write a story based on what they wanted. It didn't take me long (especially when I started seeing my work under various names on the internet) to realize that it was time I write for me instead of others. I began writing fo
