As human beings, we have trouble fathoming the idea of a young girl committing so atrocious a crime as murder. Much less, the murder of her own mother. Research has been done on the effects of a bad marriage/abuse on a woman over time and it has been compared to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I will look around and see if I can find some links for you if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteI'm the daughter of the foreman who served on the Owens-Porterfield murder trial. Gail Owens SAYS that she was abused by her husband, the same with Winkler and every other man, woman and child who NEED some REASON for their heinous acts. Gail Owens is a murderer, pure and simple, and she should have received the just penalty for her crime 23 yrs ago! My father would roll over in his grave to know that we've been supporting these two on the public dole all this time and haven't carried out the will of the people and the state.
