Ive been writing in my Telecommuting Truths blog all about my aspirations and goals in 2009. I have been looking forward to the new year since November. I have big plans for this year and so far it seems to be working for me.

I'm opening a consultant firm in March (if all goes well)to help other people find work from home and/or start their own home business and I have two interested agents for the book on the death row women.

My plans for this blog in 2009 are to make it more capable of enlightening the world about the lives of the girls on the row. It has always been my objective here but I haven't aways achieved it.

Things like Antoinette Franks looming execution bother me. I don't feel like I have successfully shown the world what has happened to her. Although she is one of the women who actually did commit her crime I think that she has made a miraculous turn around. A la Karla Faye Tucker. I truly believe prison turned Nette into a better person. It has given her an opportunity to be treated for her long time illnesses that no one gave a shit about until she killed people. I want things like that to come to light.

But- my mother always told me that you cant expect things to be different if you keep doing the same things and expecting different results. And so, my first step to being a better blogger for you- dear reader- is to attend the BlissDom09 bloggers conference later this month. I'm hoping it will make me a better blogger by teaching me valuable tactics and essential tools for a successful blog.

I'm still attempting to raise money for this trip however so anyone who'd like to help can use the Top Spots widget on the left (even $5 helps!).

I also want a better relationship with my readers. Feel free to email me (admin@womenofdeathrow.com) with thoughts, ideas and comments on this blog. And by all means comment here as well; pro-anti and on the fence. Just be nice.

Darlie Routier Texas

I was contacted by a penpal of Darlie Routier's who gave me some of the most recent advances in her case to share with you all. I began writing to Darlie in December of 2005 and she is one woman whom I will never understand how she got behind bars. Really. You know what else? With all the information ALREADY out there about this case, in addition to the newly discovered info, I think if you can't see this poor woman's innocence, you may just be an asshole. So many legal flubs, so much question and police innuendo that turned out to be nothing. So many fingers pointed and road blocks thrown up, I am surprised this case isn't used in other countries to point to the clusterfuck we call a justice system.  I believe Darlie could have been released ages ago if the state had done the necessary DNA testing. Sadly, Texas has tried to stop it in every unconstitutional way they could pull out of a bull's ass. BUT- there is hope on the horizon. This from Camp Darlie ...

Heather Birden Connecticut

Holly Aeschlimann Holly Aeschlimann, 19 was murdered in Connecticut in April of 2015. This case is amazingly close to that of Rachel Wade. Holly and her killer, Heather Birden, 20, had a longstanding dislike for each other. Heather had stabbed another girl, a juvenile, once before in 2014. She was  held in Niantic Correctional Facility for next three months before the murder as a result of a violation of her probation, and was then released to an in-patient substance abuse rehabilitation facility. Reports state that Birden asked her boyfriend for his knife and then left his house to find Holly stating "I have to end this tonight." Witnesses say Heather arrived and the two began to fight, ending in Holly being stabbed in the head and neck at a crosswalk outside an apartment complex in Torrington, CT.  Her friends rushed her to the hospital where she died.  Heather was hiding under a vehicle a short distance away and feigned confusion when police found her. She spen...

The Most Beautiful Girls to Ever Kill Their Own Mother

As human beings, we have trouble fathoming the idea of a young girl committing so atrocious a crime as murder. Much less, the murder of her own mother. The concept becomes even more inconceivable when it pertains to a beautiful young woman beautiful young woman with a loving family and the world at her fingertips. These girls aren't all women in prison now. Some have been released and disappeared into the mainstream. Scary, huh?  Nakisha Waddell     At age 14, Nakisha Waddell stabbed her mother, Vaughne Thomas, 43 times in their Virginia home. In court, she said she was tired of the years of fighting and just exploded. Her 15-year-old friend, Annie Belcher, helped her dig a grave in the backyard. The pair poured alcohol and nail polish remover on the dead woman and tried to ignite her to no avail.  They eventually mixed a crude concrete mixture and poured it on top of her and finished by covering her with sticks, leaves, and yard debris. She gives n...
